Most of the older EPM people have moved into different areas now. Actually, PeopleSoft products are out selling oracle apps. Versions 8.8, 8.9 and 9.0 all use different methods to do EPM data warehouse. I felt like 8.8 with Informatica/Datamover was the best version with the most robust HCM and Financials warehouse cubes. Since then the product went down hill in each version after 8.8. Sad. Budgets was always the orphan step child with it's own database for the budgets models. Always a performance problem.

Yes, I just finished the second proyect with EPM (Budgeting and Bussiness Planning modules in the Bolsa Mexicana de Valores 8.9v) and worked a little with BD version 8.8. But it was totally diferente. Not yet work with 9.0 but i hope done soon.
So nowday in Mexico there are few projects with PeopleSoft. Maybe because Oracle is selling more Business Suite and I am seeking one opportunity to work in the United States or another Country. I have a lot experience in the financials modules too.
Nice to meet you John.

Hi Sandra - Interesting question. PeopleSoft's data warehouse has changed drastically from version 8.8 to 9.1. What has happened is that the datamover in version 8.8 has gone away. In 8.9 they changed the model and became more Ascential centric with version 9.0. There is no version 9.1 EPM yet because RSS web 2.0 tools has taken it's place to some degree. Oracle has also moved it's BI tools to OBIEE and Hyperion. While data warehousing is not dead, for PeopleSoft it is now a custom system. That needs to be developed. Part of the issue is "data warehouse" mean different things to different businesses - The user skill level is variable at many businesses and most project managers have no clue as to how to implement a data warehouse or what use they are once they are implemented. So these projects often flop around.
