Go ahead and post your question regarding Workflow. I'm sure one of us PeopleSoft pros out here will be able to respond.
Hey Prasad

What exactly are you looking for in workflows..?
Ask your question... i think the days of 'developing ' are over... and not the days of configuring the Workflow with awe.
i recently did a end to end config on almost all the modules.

Hi, Ive got a question on workflow. Im not so certain about your comment there Srikanth.. Im finding the AWE very inflexible.

In Financials, on the PO and eProcurement Approval setup, the Transaction Registry only really takes Header and Line level, but the trouble is a lot of the workflow decisions need to be based on the lowest level ie distribution, where the chartfields are. for example, routing by department, project, account. THis is what i would expect to be able to configure.

So, for example PO - the Transaction Registry expects two views PO_HDR_AW_VW and PO_LINE_AW_VW. If you put a dist level view on the  2nd level the system crashes down the line in an approvers worklist. If you modify the line view adding in the PO_LINE_DIST table you also run into problems and you can see from the peoplecode that itsonly populating the  PO_LINE_AW_VW from the PO_LINE table. Its all hardcoded and its in a lot of areas, requiring quite a heavy customisation..

Oh, and for Vouchers..forget about it, its only on Header level..

The other area of limitation Ive found is the Criteria on a process definition. You can base it on hardcoded values or amount values, but cant compare values from one table to another. You need to put it in an Application package, again, more developing..

Anyone else run into these issues?

Regards, Adrian

Hi Adrian,

I am working on the same requrement as mentioned by you above.I have to route the PO change order Approval as separate path for each  department present for a Distribution line on a PO line .So if there are three distribution line in a PO line with three Dept mentioned so three different path should be created and routed for a Single PO Line.I am not able to figure out the approach to achive it.I will really appreciate if anyone can  help me.

Thanks!!
