Hi,

We have auto retired most of the assets in our system.
All of the assets involved in the variance were Auto-Retired and all have different depreciation schedules between GAAP and CORP.
Our criteria for the Auto-Retire was if CORP was already fully-depreciated, then the entire asset was to be retired. Nothing was auto-retired that shouldn't have been. That part is clean.

All of the costs on all 8 books for the Auto-Retires were set to zero. However, it appears that only the CORP Accumulated Depreciation amount was used across all books for the retirement.
For example, if CORP Accumulated Depreciation for a retired asset was $1000 but GAAP was only $800 (since GAAP has more months in the useful life), it created a negative remaining Accumulated Depreciation adjustment on GAAP of ($200).

To further complicate matters, this also applies to the Tax Books and the variance is as large as $1.5M on book T-STATE3.

We need to get the AM system to wipe out accumulated depreciation to zero on all these assets which were auto-retired.
This affects about 400 assets on GAAP, 1200 assets on most of the TAX books, and almost 1800 assets on T-STATE3 book.

What is the best way to make the accumulated depreciation on these assets to zero.
Does peoplsoft offers any mass change application for this, instead of using the adjust accumulate depreciation page(this will adjust one asset at a time AM--> depr->processing --> Adj. accu.depr))

Thanks in Advance. Sharp replies are always welcome
